In Memory of Larry Winiarski

What a genius! What a great guy! What a benefit to the whole world!

We’ve lost a hero.

Dr. Larry Winiarski died on August 5 at the age of 81. He spent his life working to help the less fortunate and is best known for developing the Rocket Stove that is used by millions of people around the world. But he had all kinds of practical ideas that have saved and improved lives of the poor people around the world.
Larry was on the board of Aid Africa from our beginning in 2006 until this year and gave us
invaluable advice. He visited Aid Africa’s projects in April, 2009 and was always a strong supporter of our projects.
Personally, he taught me how to open my heart to caring for the disadvantaged and getting practical results.
