Kelly Mahon Memorial

Kelly Mahon passed away recently having battled brain cancer for more than a year with grace and humor. She was a good friend of Aid Africa and traveled to Gulu in northern Uganda with her 8-year-old daughter, Mariah, in 2007. She always had the heart to help the very poor people that Aid Africa serves and stretched her comfort zone to learn more about life in developing countries. What an adventure they had! They worked with Aid Africa, had a safari in Murchison Falls National Park and visited Sipi Falls. All of us at Aid Africa both here in the U.S. and in Gulu will miss her.

She was an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department and has many friends there, too. The Police Department contacted us a few days ago. The family and her co-workers would like people to donate to Aid Africa in her memory.
